Teach me how to accept a tear in a page.

Do I rip it out completely ?

No soil or water will grow it back

Into the splendor of paragraphs it once was.

The writer was diagnosed with one strain

Of ink poisoning

In which she fought feverishly to remedy

With broken pages,

But penmanship is intransigent

To crippled grips

With blood of so much to say

The paper rips.
