To live in the shadow of a doubt

The one she looks at when her pencil has fallen to the ground

Her biggest fan, you can hear the fare above the stairs

Carrying her books to my heartbeat

Maybe time will see us through

— I will see us through

Another intellect

In a whole different pair of shoes

Morning of my last placebo

I didn’t go ballistic

But her nerves were never indifferent

That everything, even the worthless, has utter importance

I bet she ends every sentence with a period

And although she’s nervous when she speaks

I see the roster ticking toward her name

I wish I was the same

Maybe with time

I will see us through

Two intellects

Equal of use
